ICC–Hyundai Partnership Announced

Hyundai Motor Company has been named a Premier Partner for ICC events in 2026 and 2027 by the International Cricket Council. With the multi-year agreement, Hyundai makes its comeback to premier International Cricket Council sponsorship ahead of a busy international schedule that includes the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 and the International Cricket Council Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

International Cricket Council Chairman Jay Shah, ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta, and Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and CEO designate Tarun Garg were present during the partnership’s formal launch at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With this announcement, Hyundai completes the category just months before the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka starting on February 7. Hyundai is now one of just four Premier Partners under the ICC’s top commercial tier. Recently, ICC expanded its roster of international relationships to include companies like Google, Sobha Realty, Unilever, and AB InBev.

Hyundai has exclusive global rights to all of the International Cricket Council international event schedule, including both men’s and women’s competitions, as a Premier Partner. These rights include access to first-rate fan interaction opportunities, broad in-stadium branding, and affiliation with legendary matchday events like the coin toss. Hyundai and the ICC will also work together on creative projects that aim to improve the matchday experience for fans, such as vehicle showcases, interactive fan zones, venue-based activations, and digital engagement activities.

At these events, we hope to maximise our combined strengths: Jay Shah

Hyundai has access to an estimated two billion cricket fans worldwide thanks to the agreement, which includes some of the sport’s most prominent competitions across formats and geographical areas.

According to the ICC, the partnership aligns with its approach of collaborating with internationally known businesses to enhance fan engagement.

Hyundai’s return as a Premier Partner was warmly received by ICC Chairman Jay Shah, who stated that the carmaker’s global presence and longstanding connection to sports make it a perfect partner for hosting top-notch ICC events.

“We are excited to work with Hyundai to create exceptional events as a Premier Partner. “We look forward to maximising our combined strengths at these events. Hyundai is a global brand that has long supported sports,” Shah stated.

The relationship symbolises shared ideals of innovation, inclusivity, and progress while contributing to the development of global cricket culture, according to ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta.

“We are pleased to announce Hyundai as a global partner in the ICC’s global commercial program. With diversity, innovation, and progress at the core of our goals, the partnership between ICC and Hyundai will work to expand cricket’s global culture,” Gupta stated.
