As Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium gets ready for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, new floodlights will be put in.

India has started getting ready for the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, which will start in October and take place in their country.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has chosen to fix up some of the venues before the big event.

The BCCI has chosen the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai as one of five places that need to be fixed up. Soon, work will be done to improve the famous venue. New LED floodlights and renovated hospitality boxes will be put in. The stadium will host a match in the group stage and the semifinals of the event.

During the 2023 season, seven league games were played at the home field of the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champion Mumbai Indians (MI). The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) said that sealed bids are being accepted for the planned LED Flood Lighting system with DMX controls at Mumbai Stadium. The BCCI hasn’t started work yet, but the reason for asking for bids to replace the floodlights is to make sure that such a big job gets done quickly.

“Sealed bids are being asked for the planned LED Flood Lighting system with DMX controls at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. “The scope of work is described in the tender document,” the Mumbai Cricket Association said on its website, along with other important information.

MCA would renovate the opulent boxes at Wankhede Stadium.

The Mumbai Cricket Association has also said they will fix up the hospitality boxes at the ground. MCA also asked reputable organisations to send in applications so that they could hire project management consultants who meet the requirements. Also, the MCA’s top council meeting, which is set for June 30, may make a few more choices about the renovation work.

“The Mumbai Cricket Association would set up the opulent boxes at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The association is looking for well-known companies to apply to be project management consultants if they meet the following requirements,” said another news release on their website. ICC
