The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the list of Event Ambassadors who will improve the viewing experience for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, which is just one week away from the first ball being played.
The all-star lineup comprises Pakistan’s 2017 winning captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, along with two-time winner Shane Watson of Australia, Player of the Series Shikhar Dhawan of India’s 2013 trophy-winning performance, and Tim Southee, the legendary fast bowler from New Zealand.
Over the next two weeks, the lineup, which boasts a wealth of Champions Trophy expertise, will provide fans with unmatched access to the competition through match attendance and guest articles. The top eight teams in the world will compete for the coveted white jackets in what promises to be an intriguing tournament, and they will give their thoughts on it.
Sarfaraz Ahmed said, “I will always remember the moment I wore the white jackets and raised the trophy in the air as captain of Pakistan in 2017.” I’m excited to see the competition return to the cricket calendar and to have my country given the opportunity to host such a unique event because I also really want the country to support us and celebrate our successes.
Each game is important due to the structure, and I can’t wait to fulfill my Ambassadorial duties and attend the competition in person.
“Being a part of a Champions Trophy is such a special feeling, and it is an honour to be given the opportunity to enjoy the upcoming edition as an Ambassador,” said Shikhar Dhawan.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll see the best teams in the world compete for the white jackets, knowing that one mistake or one loss may be the end of their aspirations. It’s an entertaining spectacle because it’s the most competitive event with everything on the line.
Tim Southee: “I’m honored to be an ambassador for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy in 2025.
It never fails to bring drama and entertainment, and I always enjoyed playing in it.
As a player, you are aware that in the Champions Trophy format, every game, every ball, and every second matters. I’m eager to see how everything turns out because there is so much at stake.
Shane Watson: “The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy has provided us with many unforgettable moments over the years. It’s a very special occasion.
“We will witness some incredible do-or-die cricket over three exciting weeks as the top eight teams compete for the coveted white jackets.”
