Arguably, one of the best batters India has ever produced is Virat Kohli. Despite the team’s struggles, the right-handed batter is having a successful season with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2024. He has emerged as the tournament’s top run scorer.
Recalling his path from the past to the present, the star Indian batter recently stated that he avoids using terms like “struggle” and “sacrifice.” The 35-year-old made it clear that everything he is doing is following his passion.
“To be honest, I can’t use terms like hardship and sacrifice when I’m in this position. There hasn’t been any sacrifice or struggle for me.
During a talk show, Virat Kohli told host Gaurav Kapoor, “I am doing what I love.”
Virat Kohli further, saying that the real struggler is the one who cannot afford to eat two square meals a day. He underlined that supporting one’s family comes first, even though labor is sometimes regarded as a hardship.
“He who does not receive two square meals in a day is the one who is struggling,” the saying goes. “Struggle uski hoti hai jisko do waqt ki roti nahi milti hai.” Even if you work hard and achieve greatness, you still have to provide for your family. You may not be able to work out regularly, but you still have to go to the gym. No one is pushing you to go to the gym, but you have to feed your family. You may put a cherry on top and celebrate your hard work by calling it a struggle,” he continued.
The former captain of India continued by expressing his gratitude for his current role. He admitted that his own worries were insignificant in the grand scheme of things when compared to the real struggles people face.
“I’m just thankful that I get to do what I’ve always loved to do. In fact, I consider myself fortunate. My profession is playing a sport. It’s not done if you truly consider the actual issues that individuals deal with on a daily basis. He went on, “You can’t compare someone who doesn’t have a roof over his head to someone who gets out of a Test series.
