Mohammad Rizwan, the great cricket player for Pakistan, has been one of the team’s best players lately. Following Babar Azam’s dismissal, he was also promoted to captain due to his recent performances. Fans have frequently criticised Rizwan’s weak knowledge of the English language throughout his numerous press conferences, team meetings, and match presentations as captain.
Before the PSL 2025 season begins, the Multan Sultans captain has publicly acknowledged that he is unable to speak English well because he was unable to complete an education and instead concentrated on improving his cricketing abilities. Although Rizwan regrets not finishing his education, he says that, as a cricket player, he shouldn’t feel guilty about it.
“I don’t give a damn about my little command of English. Speaking the truth from the heart makes me proud. Thank God I’m not fluent in English. I apologise for not studying; I don’t know much. However, I’m not at all embarrassed about it. I apologise for not studying. I must remark that they expect me to play cricket. I’m not required to speak English by them. At a press conference prior to PSL 2025, Rizwan apologised, saying, “I’m able to converse well in English because I didn’t finish my education.”

I’ll study and return: Mohammad Rizwan
The wicketkeeper-batter also believes that even though he is not fluent in the language, he continues to encourage the younger generation to focus on learning the language while simultaneously improving their cricket skills. The captain of Pakistan goes on to say that he does not have much time for it because the team needs him to play cricket and does not require him to speak English well.
“I always advise my juniors to do well in their English studies. “They can speak in a different way,” they ought to say. I regret a great deal. I didn’t feel that way, though. Pakistan is the one who is currently requesting cricket from me. I’m going to quit it and become a professor if they ask for English. I’ll learn and return. “I have no time for this,” he said in closing.
Sultans play the Karachi Kings to begin their PSL campaign.
On April 12, Rizwan will play his first PSL game for the Multan Sultans against the Karachi Kings at the National Stadium. Despite having a fantastic season in the ninth edition, the squad lost to Islamabad United in a thrilling last-ball match. In the tenth edition, which is now under way, Rizwan & Co. will be striving to go above and above and win the coveted trophy.
