In the midst of persistent allegations about the top Indian and Gujarat Titans batter, Shubman Gill recently disclosed his relationship status. He acknowledged that he had been single for more than three years.
Shubman Gill, who is currently spearheading GT’s IPL 2025 campaign, revealed that he thought the rumours against him were completely unfounded in the majority of cases.
I mean, I haven’t had a partner for more than three years. There have been several rumours and conjectures that have connected me to various individuals. There are instances when it’s so absurd that I never would have ever seen or interacted with that individual. In an interview, Shubman Gill said, “And I would be hearing rumours that, ‘I’m with this person and this person where else I’d be like.'” NDTV Sports cited their statement.
Regarding the same subject, he stated that given his hectic schedule, it would be impossible for an active cricket player like him to be in a relationship.
“For example, I am aware that I am totally focused on my professional obligations. I don’t have time to spend 300 days a year with someone. We are travelling somewhere on the road. Thus, there is scarcely any time to be with someone or devote, you know, the time to be in a relationship,” Gill continued.

The prolific top-order batsman went on to say that he is totally “in the zone” and focused on his work while he is out in the middle.
“I’ve said this a lot, but I’m not sure why, but it seems to be an automatic changeover. Those chants are probably inaudible to batters. I find it difficult to express. However, you can’t hear anyone chanting or anything else when you’re in the zone. The task that needs to be completed is your primary attention. “Okay, this bowler is bowling at me,” is all you can think about. “These are the things I need to do, or this is how much we need to score,” Gill said.
Up to this point in the IPL 2025, Gill has amassed 305 runs in eight innings with a remarkable strike rate of 153.26. His team is in the lead in the points standings going into Match 44. On Monday, April 28, GT will play the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
