I'm sorry, I didn't sleep, I blame the camera angle: Temba Bavuma

Temba Bavuma, the captain of South Africa’s cricket team, has refuted reports that he was found dozing off during the 2023 World Cup Captain’s Meet, which took place earlier today in Ahmedabad. Bavuma quickly said that a misleading camera perspective was to blame for an image that went viral from the occasion that appeared to show him dozing.

The meeting featured interactions between the ten competing teams’ captains and media representatives, generating excitement for the impending cricket festival. One of the notable attendees was Bavuma, who was representing South Africa in the position of leadership.

The incident happened during the Captain’s Meet after a photo of Bavuma appeared to be dozing off and spread over several social media sites. The South African captain quickly refuted any such claims, claiming that the picture was wrong because of the camera’s perspective.

According to Sportskeeda, Bavuma’s statement in response to The Barmy Army’s tweet sharing the image of him reading, “I blame the camera angle, I wasn’t sleeping,” was in fact true.

Despite Bavuma’s denial, some of his followers were unpersuaded and stated in their comments that he appeared to be unwinding during the event.

Temba Bavuma is prepared to captain South Africa in an ODI World Cup match for the first time.

In this year’s ICC ODI World Cup, Temba Bavuma, who will captain the Proteas for the first time, will take the helm. On Saturday, October 7, at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, South Africa will face Sri Lanka to open their 2023 World Cup campaign.

South Africa dominated their group’s points table during the previous ODI World Cup, which was held in India. Cricket fans eagerly anticipate the emerging events on the pitch as the Proteas attempt to repeat their performance.

Temba Bavuma’s team played New Zealand in a warm-up game in advance of the 2023 World Cup; in the end, the Blackcaps won by seven runs using the D/L method. However, the Proteas have recently shown excellent form in the white ball format and even destroyed the powerful Australians in a five-match ODI series before visiting India.Er immediately refuted any such theories, claiming that the camera’s angle had misrepresented the situation.
