Rishabh Pant is one of the rare batters who has not changed his batting approach irrespective of the situation. His attacking of Nathan Lyon on the spinning deck on Day 5 of the Gabba Test 2021 was a testament to his fearlessness. Former Australia cricketer Adam Gilchrist has validated this aspect of the batter and termed the 26-year-old more attacking than him.
When batting first for the Australian team, Gilchrist was well-known for his aggressive style. For a few bowlers, the wicketkeeper-batter combination with Matthew Hayden was a terrifying sight. Gilchrist continued by calling Pant a “class act.”
He strikes a little more than I did, in my opinion. At the time, I played a strong brand, but Rishabh seemed fearless. I do appreciate that he occasionally applies a little pressure by putting his foot on the brake. Thus, Gilchrist stated on Cricket.com, “He’s a class act.”
The veteran seemed impressed with Rishabh Pant, who showed the least respect for bowlers when at the crease
“He is, as you say, a bum on a seat, and people really do pay money for him. To watch him play cricket, I would gladly pay money. That’s a terrific characteristic to have, in my opinion, if people are recognising it that way, since he achieves the desired goals and, as we all know, is a winner and survivor. In all he does, he exudes class. He is humorous and a lot of fun. He also said, “He knows how to approach a very important subject in a light-hearted way.

Against Bangladesh in the second innings of the first Test at Chepauk on September 21, the Uttarakhand batsman was in devastating form. In the first session of Day 3, he added over 120 runs in a partnership with Shubman Gill. In the process, he finished with 109 off 128 balls, even scoring his sixth century in a Test match.
