Watch: How Virat Kohli's plan led to Steve Smith's dismissal in 3rd Border-Gavaskar Test match

In Brisbane, the 3rd Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy devolved into a strategy match to get rid of the Australian batsmen. Steve Smith had to leave for four runs on the last day of the third Test, and Virat Kohli’s counsel to Mohammed Siraj and captain Rohit Sharma was one of the occurrences that led to the team’s excellent outcome.

Due to the rain, the Gabba Test finished in a draw. Both teams will now go to Melbourne for the fourth Test. With seven wickets lost, Australia was forced to declare at 89 by the Indian spinners, who made good use of the conditions.

As they quickly destroyed Australia’s top order, the pace three of Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, and Jasprit Bumrah appeared to be in excellent form.

The Men in Blue benefited from the Indian team’s approach when Steve Smith of Australia was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj after he tried to play a delivery but was unable to do so, allowing Rishabh Pant to make an incredible catch.

But the magic didn’t materialise until after Virat Kohli’s brilliant plan, which advised Rohit and Siraj to keep bowling above

The wicket and angle the bowl towards the middle and leg with a scrambling seam. Through the stump mic, this strategy was audible.

Unfortunately, the weather caused the game to end in a draw, leaving the series tied at one. The spectators in Brisbane may have hoped for another exciting Test match finale. With the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne and the Sydney Test beginning on January 3rd, the series is now down to just two matches.
