However, Sharma reached the record in just 16 balls, making it the fastest fifty for SRH ever, and finished his fifty a ball ahead of Head. Finally, on 63 (23), the 23-year-old was removed with the aid of three fours and seven sixes during his innings.

After being dismissed, Aiden Markram and Klaasen provided the ideal conclusion to Hyderabad’s innings, enabling them to beat the record set by RCB for the highest total. For the fourth wicket, the pair engaged in an undefeated 116-run partnership off 55 balls. As SRH overtook RCB’s historic 11-year-old record of 263, Markram finished undefeated at 42*(28), and Klaasen scored 80*(34) in Shams Mulani’s final over.
