Heath Streak
Heath Streak, a former cricketer for Zimbabwe, passed away suddenly early on the morning of September 3. The situation became even more tragic for his family and every cricket fan in the world when family members this time around confirmed the news.

Streak represented Zimbabwe in 65 tests and 189 one-day internationals, scoring 1990 and 2943 runs, respectively, in the two formats. However, what truly differentiated him from the other players was his dexterity with the ball. He holds the record as Zimbabwe’s all-time leading wicket-taker in both one-day internationals and test matches, having taken 216 wickets in tests and 239 in ODIs respectively.

Following her husband’s passing, Nadine, Streak’s wife, took to social media to post a touching tribute to her late husband in his honour. “In the early hours of this morning, Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, the man who was the greatest love of my life and the father of my beautiful children was transported to be with the angels from his house, where he wished to spend his last days surrounded by his family and closest loved ones.

He passed away on the day that he had planned to spend his final days with his loved ones. He left the park surrounded by love and tranquilly, and he did not go home by himself. Streaky, our spirits will share eternity together as one. On Facebook, Nadine Streak posted, “Until I hold you again.”

Heath Streak, died on the family property, Entho kozweni, which is located in Inyathi, Matabeleland North. Streak’s father also confirmed that Streak had passed away. “Heath had not been feeling well for some time, and for the past five and a half months, he had been battling cancer. “He passed away in the wee hours of the morning at one in the morning,” Denis Streak was reported as saying by Sunday News.

Streak’s legacy in international cricket is among the very greatest, and he is widely regarded as one of the very best players to come out of Zimbabwe in the history of the game. When he played for the national team, he did so with a particular style and grace regardless of the situation.
