Harsha Bhogle bats for Tanveer Sangha's inclusion in the Tests following an incredible BBL performance.

During Monday’s Big Bash League (BBL) match between the Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers in Sydney, noted cricket pundit Harsha Bhogle expressed his admiration for Tanveer Sangha’s performance. The Thunder leg-spinner had an amazing economy rate of 3.50, giving up just 14 runs in his four-over quota.

The 22-year-old’s bowling display impressed Harsha Bhogle, who was a member of the commentary panel during the BBL match, and he was recommended to play for Australia’s Test team. Indian-born Tanveer Sangha has represented Australia in white-ball cricket but has not been called up. He was born in Jalandhar. Although he was named in the squad for the 2023 ODI World Cup, he was not able to participate in the main tournament.

“Send him out to play red ball cricket; he can bowl!” During the commentary, Harsha Bhogle was heard to say:.

The Sydney Thunder were defeated by seven wickets by the Perth Scorchers.

Sydney Thunder was invited to bat after the Perth Scorchers won the toss in the match. With final scores of 3/25 and 2/6, respectively, Cooper Connolly and Ashton Agar were crucial for the visiting team. Alex Hales, representing Sydney, produced a blistering 55-ball 72 to help his team post a meager 137 while the other batsmen faltered against the opposition’s bowling onslaught. Four boundaries and five maximums littered his knock.

Opening batsman Zak Crawley of the Scorchers amassed a half-century as they successfully chased down the below-par total with five balls remaining. With eight fours in 56 deliveries, the English cricketer hammered in 58 runs. Chris Green, the Thunder’s skipper, claimed one wicket, while Nathan McAndrew claimed two.

With 11 points behind Brisbane Heat at the top of the standings, the Aaron Hardie-led team is presently in second place. Having won just one of their seven games, the Thunder, on the other hand, are second from the bottom of the points table and have not impressed thus far in the competition.
