Harry Brook, England’s recently chosen Test vice-captain, will start his term with the difficult Ashes series in Australia. Harry Brook has amassed 2820 runs at an average of 57.55 in 30 Test matches, which is an incredible start to his Test career. But the former World Test Champions will undoubtedly have unique ideas for him, so his hardest test is still to come.
But Harry Brook thinks England would have an advantage if Pat Cummins, the Australian captain, is unable to recover in time for the first Ashes Test, which begins at Perth Stadium on November 21. In the lead-up to the Perth Test, Cummins is battling a back issue that has made him race against the clock. Andrew McDonald, the head coach of Australia, said on Friday that Cummins is “running out of time” until November 21.
Australia will miss the quality and leadership that Cummins brings to the table, even though Brook thinks they have a number of elite bowlers in their ranks.
He has been an outstanding bowler for many years. He bowls really skilfully and quickly. From what we’ve observed, we hope that having him out of their side for the first game works to our advantage. Brook, in collaboration with Toyota, stated, “[But] we can’t take anybody lightly,” during Thursday night’s PCA awards ceremony.

The Australian surfaces are renowned for their bounce and speed, and he is now preparing for a new challenge against Mitchell Starc and company. The right-hander claimed that the five Test matches he played in against India earlier this year were the most intense series he has ever participated in. He said that if the Ashes surpasses that, he will be pleased.
“I’m not sure what I’m getting into. Even though it’s a huge event, I’m still working on moving past that India series. Playing 25 days out of 25 was incredible, and it was great to be a part of that. I’ve never been a part of a series as intense as that. Brook remarked, “I will be a very happy man if the Ashes tops that.”
“It’s evidently intense. To be completely honest, I don’t even recall much of the 2023 Ashes. The players we’ll face are somewhat similar: they have a potent bowling assault, and they’ll pose distinct difficulties at home. Since I don’t know a lot about the pitches out there, I have to play what’s in front of me and be as present as I can,” he continued.
