In the current Women’s Premier League season, Harleen Deol is playing for the Gujarat Giants Women. In terms of the season, she has experienced a range of emotions. Ultimately, though, Gujarat’s strong second half of the season helped them qualify for the playoffs.
According to Harleen Deol, who was cited by The Hindu, “so they also have a challenge.”
The Indian middle-order hitter offered her thoughts on how to appropriately handle the high-pressure situation in the lead-up to the forthcoming Eliminator matchup against the Mumbai Indians Women.
“The key to winning huge matches is simply managing the pressure effectively. The winner will be the one who does that. They only have a day off after playing two consecutive games. They’re recovering after a defeat.
She also commended Deandra Dottin, a West Indian all-rounder, for supporting the team when needed.
“New members have been added to the team to cover the holes that existed. Dottin (Deandra) has entered. No one can match her four overs, fielding and batting, and the impact she makes when hitting. Finding the correct combinations is all that is required in these leagues. The right people have clicked at the right times,” Harleen continued.
In the WPL 2025, Harleen’s lone half-century came against the Delhi Capitals Women. In Lucknow, her undefeated 70-run innings off of 49 balls propelled Gujarat to victory by five wickets with three deliveries remaining. Gujarat made it to the knockout stage for the first time in three seasons. When it comes to pacing her team’s innings, Harleen would be crucial.
Regarding her overseas assignment, Harleen is anticipated to play for India Women in June and July. During the aforementioned months, the Women in Blue will play England Women in three ODIs and five T20Is.
