Hardik Pandya overtake Virat Kohli in finishing most T20Is with six

India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the opening Twenty20 International. Hardik Pandya concluded the match for the Indian team, remaining unbeaten at 39 off 16 balls. In the process, he broke Virat Kohli’s record of six T20I match finishes; Kohli had previously achieved this feat four times, while Pandya’s most recent stunt saw him pull off the feat a fifth time.

In his undefeated innings, Pandya hit five boundaries and two maximums, helping India reach the 128-run mark in just 11.5 overs. Hardik was also very proficient with the ball. The all-rounder removed Shoriful Islam in four overs bowled at a cost of just 26 runs. He batted at a strike rate of 243.75 and bowled at an economy rate of 6.50.

Hardik Pandya reached a new milestone with the ball, even as his no-look ramp shot is going viral on social media.

He passed Arshdeep Singh as the fourth-highest wicket-taker for India in Twenty20 Internationals with his lone wicket in the Gwalior T20I. Hardik has claimed 87 wickets, compared to Arshdeep’s 86.

With each new game, you get more knowledge: Suryakumar Yadav

In relation to the game, India held Bangladesh to just 127 runs thanks to three-fers from Arshdeep and Varun Chakravarthy. After making a fast sixteen off seven balls, Abhishek Sharma left the game, while Sanju Samson chipped in 29 off 19. India took a 1-0 lead in the series as Suryakumar Yadav played like his typical form and scored 29 off of 14. Hardik then completed the task.

“We simply attempted to support our abilities and the decisions we made in our team meetings, and it worked well. We batted really well, and the lads played with great character on a new field. When you are on the field and you have to bowl someone, it’s a fantastic headache to have. It’s always advantageous to have more options available to you.

With each new game, you gain new knowledge. After the game, Suryakumar stated, “There are always a few areas to improve on. We will sit down and talk about it in the next game.”
