After joining the Aspin Stallions, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh is expected to light up the Abu Dhabi T10 League. With Harbhajan Singh, the Abu Dhabi T10 League will have its first-ever Emirati-owned team.
Along with the Vista Riders, Ajman Titans, Royal Champs, and Ajman Titans, the Aspin Stallions are one of the league’s five new teams and will mark a first for Emirati involvement in international franchise sports. They are owned by Ahmad Khoori, a former senior vice president of Emirates Airlines and member of the UAE Federal National Council.
With the rise of the AD T10 league, a fast-paced 10-over format that combines international talent and entertainment, the Emirates Cricket Board has quickly become one of the most exciting cricket nations in the world and a defining platform for international sports participation.
According to the League’s founder and chairman: Shaji Ul Mulk
“Aspin Stallions, the league’s first Emirati-owned team, is welcomed. This is a proud occasion for the UAE’s sports community as a whole, not simply Abu Dhabi T10. It demonstrates the UAE’s increasing stature as a major international sports destination and upholds the idea of international cooperation.
In 2016, Harbhajan Singh played his final match for India, taking 25 wickets in 28 Twenty20 Internationals.
Additionally, the seasoned off-spinner will contribute to the Stallions his extensive IPL expertise. He has taken 150 wickets in 163 games, giving him an incredible IPL record.
Aside from Harbhajan Singh, the Stallions have also signed direct acquisitions of England batsman-wicketkeeper Sam Billings, left-arm bowler Tymal Mills, Sri Lankans Avishka and Binura Fernando, West Indies batsman Andre Fletcher, and Zohair Iqbal of the United Arab Emirates.
The competition will take place in the United Arab Emirates from November 18 to November 30.
