Very happy to start the tournament well: Hardik Pandya

The Indian cricket side defeated Ireland by eight wickets in a convincing start to their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. The game’s standout player was Hardik Pandya, who took three vital wickets in the opening innings to set the stage for an outstanding performance.

Pandya conveyed his happiness with the team’s effort after giving some thought to the match and the favourable outcome. Since the event moves quickly once it gets underway, he underlined how crucial it is to get off to a good start in order to maintain rhythm. Pandya emphasised how satisfying it is to see one’s efforts pay off in victory.

To begin the competition on a high note makes me very happy and satisfied. The rhythm of the tournament is crucial because once it gets going, it doesn’t stop, and it feels great to put in the effort and succeed,” the speaker stated.

The game will always be exciting, and there will be lots of excitement. Hardik Pandya

Pandya talked about his personal performance and how his game has improved over time. He clarified that Hardik, at thirty, has a lot more experience than he did when he was sixteen because of the priceless lessons he picked up from playing international cricket. His focus has been on improving gradually, and he stated that realising his potential and doing so was made possible by bowling a lot of overs and hitting a lot during practice.

“Hardik is significantly more experienced at 30 than he was at 16 years old. I’ve learned a lot from playing international cricket. As you bowl a lot of overs and bat a lot at the net, you progressively develop and reach your full potential. I’ve been concentrating on it so far,” he said.

Additionally, Pandya emphasised the Indian team’s strengths, including the depth of experience among their bowlers and hitters. He gave particular recognition to the fast bowling combination of Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, and Jasprit Bumrah, pointing out their substantial contributions to the squad and wealth of expertise.

As the much-awaited India-Pakistan match approached, Pandya shared his thoughts on the hype that surrounds the game.

There’s always going to be a lot of excitement and a great match. With Pakistan on the other side of this major match, hopefully the Indian squad will maintain focus and make it another fantastic day at work,” he said.
