Gus Atkinson capped off an almost flawless Test match at Lord’s with his third five-for in four innings, which stole the show. He had supplemented his batting effort in the first innings. Nine of the ten Lankan wickets fell to catches in the fourth innings; the captain of Sri Lanka was the only player to be dismissed by any other means.
However, none of them were able to turn their scores into a major one as the hosts were carried along by a fantastic ball handling display from Gus Atkinson.
The Lankans mounted a valiant defence in spite of the target’s size. Three players achieved half-centuries: Dimuth Karunaratne, Dinesh Chandimal, and Dhananjaya de Silva. With a 190-run victory to wrap up the three-match series.

with a game in hand, England put up yet another outstanding performance as they won another Test match against Sri Lanka. The visiting side set a goal of 483, which was, to put it mildly, highly unlikely.
