Sai Kishore, a left-arm spinner, claims to be “one of the best spinners in the country” right now. Up till now, the left-arm spinner has only made three appearances for the national squad.
He also acknowledged that he made his statement with a great deal of humility and that he has put a lot of effort into improving his fielding and batting. He said he was confident he would defend the country the next time the chance arose.
“I’m definitely improving my fielding and batting. Not just these things, but if I may say so, my bowling is multi-skillful in that regard. I consider myself to be among the top spinners in the nation. I’ve said that before, and I sincerely believe it, and I feel that with all my humility. And I believe I would be prepared for it if the opportunity arises,” Kishore said, as cited by Mint.
Sai Kishore went into further detail about how hitters nowadays approach spin-bowling.
Additionally, he forecasted how India, who he believes to be among the world’s top spin-playing countries at the moment, would use spin in the forthcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies.
“Spin is now played differently. Nowadays, people are quite bold and prefer attacking the spinner over simply grinding them. The quality of playing spin hasn’t decreased, in my opinion. Counterattacks are more common. More people are playing without fear. Indian hitters, in my opinion, will be up to the task in the forthcoming Test series and will be playing spin far more effectively than the statistics actually indicate. We are among the world’s top spin-playing countries at the moment,” he said.
Regardless of the format, Sai Kishore has consistently performed well in domestic cricket. He just finished the 2025 IPL with 19 wickets. The IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans won the 2025 Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) under Sai Kishore direction.
