The person watching this must be completely insane. - In the fourth Ashes Test, which is now taking place, Glenn McGrath and Darren Berry criticize Pat Cummins for his subpar leadership.

The visiting team has played some pretty poor cricket in the current Test, whether they were bowling or batting, and they have chastised skipper Pat Cummins, who has seemed lost for the game, in the presence of former bowlers Glenn McGrath and Darren Barry. Australia’s performance in the ongoing Ashes 2023 drastically declined after winning the first two games, and they currently find themselves in a precarious situation. The team is currently in danger of suffering another defeat in the fourth Test, which is being played in Machester, which would jeopardize their current standing.

In particular, the Kangaroos, who batted first, scored 317 runs on a surface that was ideal for batters to prosper. The Pat Cummins–led team lost four wickets and trailed by 162 runs at the close of Day 2 as they bowled quite poorly as England took a comfortable lead of 275 runs in response.

The former cricketers are therefore extremely dissatisfied. McGrath said that having a pacer as a leader always carries some risk and mentioned that Cummins appeared exhausted to him. Additionally, he said that Australia appeared to lack a clear understanding of how to carry out their strategy, which is why they are currently trailing England in the fourth Ashes Test.

Australia made a few experiments. They seemed to lack true direction, in my opinion. They were a little bit chasing their tail, and I don’t think they carried out their ideas all that well. It was always a risk having a fast bowler as captain, but Pat Cummins simply seems a little bit weary and jaded to me.

“It’s one of those things; momentum and energy are involved. The momentum is with England right now, and Glenn McGrath told BBC that it is difficult to take it away from a side that is playing well.

Former Victoria cricket captain Berry predicts Cummins will step down as captain.

Darren Berry, a former captain of Victoria’s cricket team, on the other hand, deemed it to be unwatchable. In addition, he asked veteran Australian icon Merv Hughes for his opinion on Pat Cummins’ time leading Australia in Test matches. Following the conclusion of “The Ashes,” he predicts that Cummins will shortly give up his captaincy.

This is unwatchable. Goodnight to all lovers of the game of our great game of cricket. This is absolutely insane to anyone watching this shit with half a clue about the game. Enough is enough now 🙈🤷‍♂️😤 keep banging em in lads WTF

This is boring to watch. All cricket fans, good night and thanks for watching our amazing game. To anyone who is watching this s**t and has even a passing knowledge of the game, this is completely ridiculous. Pat Cummins is undoubtedly a fantastic cricketer, but keep in mind this message. Following the Ashes series, he will step down from his position as captain, Berry stated on his social media.
