In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Final versus the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Phil Salt, the opener for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), stunned everyone by dismissing Priyansh Arya.
The sixth over of the powerplay was bowled by Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood. Salt sprinted to the right from deep backward square leg and caught the ball as left-hander Arya attempted to flick the short-of-length delivery for maximum. He flung the ball farther to his right, crossed the boundary line, and then came back into the field to make an easy catch after realising that his momentum would carry him past the ropes.
Hazlewood once again provided the breakthrough for RCB by taking the first wicket and turning the tide back in their favour, even though PBKS openers Arya and Prabhsimran Singh were approaching the target with ease.
Pause it. Rewind it. Watch it again 🫡

In the top match, the Rajat Patidar-led squad scored a respectable 190 runs, with Indian veteran Virat Kohli getting 43 off 35. Livingstone, Jitesh, Rajat Paitdar, and Mayank Agarwal all failed to build on their early performances and were eventually dismissed by the PBKS bowlers at regular intervals.
Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson each claimed three wickets for PBKS, while Vijaykumar Vyshak, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Azmatullah Omarzai each claimed one. keeping the batters from the RCB under their control.
Both teams have a fantastic chance to win their first IPL trophy after going eighteen years without taking home the trophy.
