The Pakistan Women’s team for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers was formally revealed by PCB. The 15-member team, led by Fatima Sana, will aim to qualify for the World Cup. For the first time in more than 16 months, Shawal Zulfiqar will rejoin the team. Muniba Ali, Fatima’s assistant in the event, is part of the squad.
The talented players on the Women in Green team will be crucial to their team’s qualifying. Diana Baig, Nashra Sindhu, Gul Feroza, Alia Riaz, and other up-and-coming players are among the most prominent members of their team. There is a decent balance of youth and experience on the team.
Umaima Sohail, Natalia Pervez, Syeda Aroob Shah, Sidra Amin, Sadia Iqbal, Ramin Shamim, Najihah Alvi, and Sidra Nawaz are among the players in the team who are hoping to leave a mark at the tournament. These players may be tested during the Qualifers, which might serve as an excellent prelude to the World Cup.
The members of the PAK-W squad are: Rameen Shamim, Aliya Riaz, Syeda Aroob Shah, Diana Baig, Gull Feroza, Nashra Sundhu, Sadia Iqbal, Natalia Parvaiz, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Sidra Amin, Omaima Sohail, Fatima Sana (C), Muneeba Ali (VC), Najiha Alvi (WK), Najiha Alvi (WK), Sidra Nawaz (WK), Rameen Shamim, Aliya Riaz, and Gull Feroza.
Pakistan will host the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifier from April 9–19.
All of the games will be played at Gaddafi Stadium and Lahore City Cricket Association Ground. The tournament schedule has been released, and numerous teams have revealed their rosters.
With the exception of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and the West Indies will compete in the Qualifiers. Throughout the competition, each side will play its opponents once, for a total of five matches. The Women’s Cricket World Cup will be open to the top two teams in the league.
