The T20 craze has peaked due to the simultaneous running of two elite T20 leagues: the 10th season of the PSL and the 18th edition of the IPL 2025.
While the Indian Premier League has provided a well-balanced mix of both low-scoring games and high-octane run chases, the PSL has witnessed a number of high-scoring matches. The 2025 Indian Premier League saw its first Super Over in a thrilling match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) amongst all the cricket action. Mitchell Starc bowled the game’s last over for DC, protecting nine runs and forcing a Super Over, in which DC won.
A PSL fan in the stadium was spotted using his phone to watch the IPL match live in a remarkable event that received a lot of attention. The video swiftly went viral on social media, demonstrating the IPL’s widespread appeal among cricket fans throughout the world in addition to its popularity. It generated conversations on how closely cricket is woven into the lives of fans and how the IPL never fails to enthral audiences, even when a PSL game is taking place.
