England was anticipated to recover from their disappointing performance in the just finished ODI World Cup 2023 against the faltering West Indies. The Jos Buttler-led team, however, lost the three-match series 2-1 as they were unable to assert their dominance. The fact that they were outwitted in both the bowling and batting departments is a serious worry for the squad moving forward.

Captain Jos Buttler, meantime, said that the team is still young and will improve with time when discussing the series loss. He sees it as the beginning of a new adventure, one in which the players will improve over the next few days by taking lessons from this experience. The 35-year-old maintained his belief in the players, saying that the group has great talent and will improve with more playing time.

There have been a few standout performances along the route. Naturally, we’re disappointed about the series’ outcome. This one will benefit the guys more. For this team, the series marks the beginning of a new adventure. If you don’t offer folks the opportunity to play and be in those situations, you can’t gain experience.

Guys will have learned a lot from this, as I don’t have much experience with the quantity of caps. It’s a really youthful side. We have provided them with opportunities and exposure. There is an incredible amount of talent and depth, and these guys will only grow better. I’m excited.

It’s critical to look forward since things change and move on, as Jos Buttler was cited by India Today.

With the return of senior players for the T20I series, England is preparing for the T20 World Cup.

However, during the five-match T20I series in the Caribbean, a few of the top cricket players are expected to make a comeback. The addition of Adil Rashid, Chris Woakes, Moeen Ali, and Tymal Mills will boost England’s confidence as the objective is to strike the appropriate balance in front of the T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to start on June 3, 2024.
