The Oval is one of England's best places to bat: Rohit Sharma

India and Australia will play in the final of the ICC World Test Championship on June 7 at London’s Oval. India is working hard to get ready for the game in different circumstances. In the meantime, India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, seemed confident before the final match against Australia. He said that the Oval is one of England’s best places to hit the ball. Everyone will be watching Team India leader Sharma’s performance in the India vs. Australia game because Hitman made a great Test century the last time India played here. In 2021, Team India played against England on this field. The guests beat the hosts because Rohit did so well, scoring 127 runs in 256 balls.

Before the important game, the captain talked about how much he relies on his skills to deal with bowlers and how the weather changes all the time, which is hard for players. “The weather changes a lot, so you have to stay focused for longer, and that’s the challenge of this style. You need to be able to stay focused for longer periods of time. You’ll just know when to take on the bowlers, and you have to be ready for that,” Sharma told India Today, quoting him.

Here, it’s about giving yourself the best chance of succeeding: Rohit Sharma

Rohit thinks it wouldn’t be a bad idea to learn how other players who have done well at the Oval scored. “You need to know what your best qualities are. Even though this is one of the best places to bat in England, it is nice to know how runs are scored here. You get a lot for your shots; the square lines move quickly, and here it’s all about giving yourself the best chance to win,” he said.

In the second round of the ICC World Test Championship, India and Australia will play each other for the title. The final will start on June 7 at the Oval in London. India lost the WTC 2021 final to New Zealand. New Zealand beat Virat Kohli’s team by eight wickets at the Rose Bowl in Southampton to become the first-ever winner.

Australia topped the WTC points table for the 2021–23 cycle with 66.67 points percent (PCT) in 19 Tests, while India made it to the final with 58.8 PCT after beating the Kangaroos 2-1 at home in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
