The 15-member England team for the 2025 Women’s U-19 World Cup, which will take place in Malaysia, was just announced. There will be sixteen teams from across the world competing in the 41-match competition.
Tilly Corteen-Coleman, a left-arm orthodox player, is the team’s top player. She made an impression on the domestic scene and gave the Southern Brave Women some memorable performances in the most recent Women’s Hundred. Davina Perrin, an all-round batsman, is also selected. She competed in the Women’s U-19 World Cup in 2023.
In his role as head coach, Chris Guest—who was just named the Performance Lead for the England Women Under-19s—will have help from Beth Morgan and Dan Helesfay.
Morgan, a former England international, spent over ten years playing for her nation. She played in 28 T20Is, 72 ODIs, and seven Tests. The team achieved a double in 2009, winning both the Women’s World Cup and the Women’s World Twenty20 (now known as the Women’s World Cup) thanks in large part to the former all-rounder.
Helesfay is an assistant coach for Welsh Fire, a Women’s Hundred team, and South East Stars. In addition, she was a Senior Regional Talent Manager at Western Storm, one of the eight regional hubs for domestic cricket in England, before.

Chris Guest talked about what most inspired him and the lesson he would like the athletes selected to learn. Additionally, he gave the names of four players who currently play for the senior women’s team, demonstrating how important the U-19 World Cup is to the development of the present group of players.
Working with the Under-19 age group most fascinates me because of the ongoing cycle of emerging talent and new groupings. We encourage these players to rise to the challenge, keep improving, and enjoy the ride, understanding that this World Cup is only one phase of their career rather than its conclusion or beginning. As reported, Guest stated, “Of course we want to succeed, but the program is about developing these players in the long run and the future.”

After competing for the U-19s in the inaugural World Cup in 2023, Ryana MacDonald-Gay, Hannah Baker, Seren Smale, and Charis Pavely were a real inspiration to the group and showed how crucial this competition can be for a player’s development.
