Twitter Reactions: England clinch T20I series with 3rd straight win vs West Indies

In the third T20I, the West Indies and England continued their five-game series. On Thursday, November 14, the two teams faced off at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St. Lucia. The Windies sought a glimmer of hope as England sought to win the third match to seal the series after winning the first two Twenty20 Internationals.

The West Indies lost the toss and had to bat first to start the third Twenty20 International. Evin Lewis and Shai Hope scored three and four runs, respectively, to start the Windies’ innings. Roston Chase and Nicholas Pooran each contributed seven runs to the total.

The whole West Indies top order was unable to make an impact; the hosts’ innings was stabilised by the knocks of Romario Shepherd and Rovman Powell following Shimron Hetmyer‘s demise at a score of two runs.

Shepherd also contributed 30 runs to the total, while Powell scored 54 runs in 41 deliveries. In addition, the Windies scored 145 runs in the first innings of the match after Alzarri Joseph scored an undefeated 21 runs.

Jofra Archer also claimed one wicket for England, while Saqib Mahmood and Jamie Overton each claimed three.

The middle order in England helps the team win the series.

With Phil Salt scoring four runs and Will Jacks scoring thirty-two, England began the innings with the intention of chasing down a target of 146 runs in the second innings. Jos Buttler and Jacob Bethell both contributed four runs, while Sam Curran scored 41 runs with a solid knock.
