Next month, the West Indies will play three T20 Internationals against Australia before playing the same number of ODIs. While the last T20I will be played in Brisbane, the first two T20Is will be played in Sydney. In July’s second ODI match between Australia and Ireland, star all-rounder Ellyse Perry suffered a knee injury. She missed both the Women’s Hundred in England and the third and final ODI due to the injury. The injured veteran is still getting better. She will play for Australia in both the ODI and T20I matches against the West Indies. The 32-year-old may, however, bat as a specialist and forego bowling for the white-ball series.
On Tuesday, September 26, Ellyse Perry participated in her first competitive game since the injury for Victoria against Western Australia. In the one-day competition, she did not bowl. The seasoned campaigner gave an update on when she will be able to resume bowling.

Perry was reported by ESPN cricinfo as saying, “It might mean that I’m not available to bowl until late in the piece or possibly toward the start of the WBBL.”
