After making her comeback, Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry is now entirely focused on the current ODI series against the West Indies. After sustaining a knee injury at the conclusion of her team’s one-day tour of Ireland in July 2023, the 32-year-old made her way back to the field on Tuesday in Melbourne and began bowling for the first time.

We were doing some really wonderful work in the nets over in England, so it was a bit of a pain to have to cut that over the last couple of months to rehab my knee. I’ve really enjoyed working with Scott Prestwidge, our bowling coach. Today was a lot of fun since Scottie and I got to go out there. “I’d want to still be contributing and hanging out with the group if I’m still enjoying it and if I’m good enough, but I probably haven’t set my sights on anything just yet (so we’ll see). It’s a tremendous announcement for the sport, a fantastic new chance, and an amazing competition. I would expect it would be really essential to every team engaged. We recently participated in the Comm Games, which was an amazing event, so it will be exciting to be a part of it, she continued.
