Ellyse Perry masterfully does the balancing act while keeping an eye on the Australian summer.

After making her comeback, Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry is now entirely focused on the current ODI series against the West Indies. After sustaining a knee injury at the conclusion of her team’s one-day tour of Ireland in July 2023, the 32-year-old made her way back to the field on Tuesday in Melbourne and began bowling for the first time.

affirmed that she will just bat in the final games against the West Indies and will not bowl. She hopes to return completely fit, though, and will work to contribute her side with the ball for the remainder of the summer.

We were doing some really wonderful work in the nets over in England, so it was a bit of a pain to have to cut that over the last couple of months to rehab my knee. I’ve really enjoyed working with Scott Prestwidge, our bowling coach. Today was a lot of fun since Scottie and I got to go out there. Ellyse Perry was reported by cricket.com.au as stating, “I’m really looking forward to the rest of the summer and hopefully being able to contribute with the ball.”

Cricket is about to make its Olympic comeback in the 2028 Los Angeles Games after 128 years. Ellyse Perry masterfully does the balancing act while keeping an eye on the Australian summer. is excited about what a return to the Olympics may mean for the sport, but after competing in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last year, he thinks it would be much bigger than any ICC World Cup.

“I’d want to still be contributing and hanging out with the group if I’m still enjoying it and if I’m good enough, but I probably haven’t set my sights on anything just yet (so we’ll see). It’s a tremendous announcement for the sport, a fantastic new chance, and an amazing competition. I would expect it would be really essential to every team engaged. We recently participated in the Comm Games, which was an amazing event, so it will be exciting to be a part of it, she continued.
