India will be without two of their most seasoned batsmen, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, as they prepare for the highly anticipated Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 in Australia. Dinesh Karthik, the former wicketkeeper-batter of India, has commented on this discussion, suggesting Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan as the best people to take on these important positions.
India has won its last two Test series in Australia because to outstanding performances from Pujara and Rahane. Pujara, who finished as the series’ top run scorer with 521 runs, was the cornerstone of the Indian batting order.

Despite being relatively fresh to the global scene, Khan’s career has started off well. The Mumbai native made his debut against England earlier this year, amassing 200 runs at an average of fifty across five innings, including three half-centuries.
