The BCCI has released the list of selected players for the final three Test matches of the five-match Test series between India and England.

“Kitaabon par dhool jamne se, kahaaniyan khatm nahi hoti,” said his Instagram tale. The stories within books never cease, even with dust accumulation.
With 170 wickets at an average of 30.95 in 57 Test matches for India, the 36-year-old spinner has proven to be a valuable asset in the bowling unit. Yadav demonstrated his skill by taking 101 wickets in 32 home Test matches at an amazing average of 25.88, with the top figures of 6/88. This was especially true during the Virat Kohli-Ravi Shastri era.
Yadav’s impact goes beyond the Test format; he has taken 106 wickets in 106 ODIs and nine T20Is, respectively, to his credit. Despite his expertise and consistent performance, the speedster’s exclusion from the Test squad was what prompted his heartfelt Instagram message.
In the current Ranji Trophy season, Umesh Yadav has taken 19 wickets in four games.
The seasoned veteran last played for India in the UK against Australia in the ICC World Test Championship final, where he took two wickets in a losing cause. He has been showing off his skills for Vidarbha in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, taking 19 wickets in four games, including two significant four-wicket hauls.
India are preparing for the third game, which is set to start at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on February 15. The next two fixtures are scheduled to begin on February 23 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi and on March 7 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
