Sleet and cold weather are predicted to delay the Dharamshala test between India and England in 2024.

The present five-game Test series between India and England will resume on Thursday, March 7, with the fifth and final Test between the two teams taking place at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. After winning the second, third, and fourth Tests of the series, the Rohit Sharma-led team has already secured the series; therefore, the match might only serve as solace for England and the hosts.

But when the last test drew near, a weather report for the match at Dharamshala was released.

There will likely be multiple weather-related delays to the fifth Test between India and England, with the sleeve predicted to fall at some point during the match. Moreover, a temperature drop of up to 1 degree Celsius is predicted, which may eliminate the chance of a match occurring.

Known for its breathtaking scenery and magnificent terrain, Dharamshala’s high elevation has always made it dangerous for a Test match to go off without a hitch. Early in the fifth test, sleet is predicted to pound the city, according to the weather update. Sleet, to the uninitiated, is a mixture of raindrops and partially melted ice.

Earlier this year, in Mohali, Team India faced difficult conditions because of the bitter cold.

Since the predicted temperature in Dharamshala is only one degree, it is improbable that a game will take place in such conditions. Earlier in the year, the Indian team struggled to field in a game in Mohali, when the temperature dropped to 10°C.

After dominating in Vizag, Rajkot, and Ranchi, Team India has already secured the five-match Test series. Although they lost the opening test of the series in Hyderabad, the team has won a lot of its last few games.
