The most costly player in SA20 history, Dewald Brevis, expressed his excitement about joining the Pretoria Capitals for Season 4.
Speaking to SA20, Dewald Brevis discussed his thoughts on the Capitals’ team, the league’s expansion, and why supporters should be involved in the action after departing MI Cape Town and beginning a new chapter in his hometown of Centurion.
At the SA20 player auction, Dewald Brevis was the talk of the town.
The Pretoria Capitals paid INR 8.3 crore to acquire him, beating out fierce competition and becoming the most expensive signing in the league’s history. In addition to bringing Brevis back together with old South Africans, the transfer gave the Capitals’ already potent lineup even more explosive weaponry. He expressed his opinions about joining the Pretoria Capitals:
“I’m thrilled. You always look back, and I believe my three years at MI Cape Town were very memorable. Despite our ups and downs, we accomplished incredible things in the past year. I will never forget that. But for me, this is a new chapter. I can’t wait to be with Pretoria. I’m from there. SuperSport Park is really dear to my heart, and I know it very well. My brother and I spent our childhood playing beside the pitch, running about it and watching cricket there. I’m ecstatic to be able to be there now. I can’t wait to meet up with the team, create memories, and have a good time.
Team members for the Pretoria Capitals:
“I believe it’s fantastic. We’ve spent a lot of time together, and it’s wonderful to have Lungi Ngidi there. We have pleasant recollections of it beginning in Bangladesh. Lizaad Williams and several of our local men followed. I’m also overjoyed for Connor Esterhuizen. He will perform admirably for us and is an excellent player. Considering all of the international players, I believe our team is well-rounded, with power hitters, a solid batting lineup, and men who will like SuperSport Park. Rutherford and Andre Russell are two examples of a fantastic all-around squad. It’s a lovely spot to bat and play cricket, so I’m really interested to see how the lads do and how much fun they have there.
Regarding SA20’s development:
“SA20, it just gets better every year.” And that’s precisely what will occur. Season 4 will see an increase in the level of competition and an improvement in quality. I believe the competition will be even more fierce. It’s T20 cricket, and the teams are always competitive and evenly matched. You can find a variety of circumstances in South Africa, which has some of the best. Everywhere is different, whether you’re playing on the coast or in Cape Town. SA20 offers such variety, which is really awesome. And I believe that I am eager to see the throngs once more. It will be a lot of fun, and this is a beautiful time of year.
Reasons for spectators to attend SA20:
Since everyone is on vacation and unwinding, others would also want to come and watch. Why don’t you come unwind by the cricket pitch? Everyone can have fun while we take on a little of the pressure. I used to spend all of my childhood watching Test cricket on TV or by the pitch. Being allowed to play during that period and have your family present at the pitch is now a privilege. Therefore, these are incredibly exciting times.
