Vaibhav Suryavanshi touched MS Dhoni’s feet in one of the most touching moments following the 14-year-old’s courageous performance that helped the Rajasthan Royals overcome Chennai Super Kings in Tuesday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The footage of the incident went viral on social media and happened during the customary handshakes after the Rajasthan Royals’ six-wicket triumph. It’s unclear what they discussed, but the CSK captain seemed to praise the child for his 33-ball 57, which included four sixes and four fours. Vaibhav Suryavanshi achieved his second score of fifty or higher during the competition.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who hit 36 runs off 19 balls, and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened the innings together, giving their team a solid start. Sanju Samson, the captain of RR, too scored 41 runs off of 31 balls. The Rajasthan Royals won the match in 17.1 overs thanks to Dhruv Jurel’s undefeated 31 runs off 12 balls. The Rajasthan Royals finished the 2025 Indian Premier League season with four victories from their 14 games.
