India failed in the first hour of Day 1 of the WTC Final. Ricky Ponting was to blame.

Ricky Ponting, who used to be the captain of Australia, thinks that the Indian bowlers could have made better use of the conditions, especially on Day 1 of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia at the Kennington Oval in London. Ponting said that India let themselves down in the first hour of the first day of the World Test Championship final. He was talking about how India did in the first two days of the WTC final. India won the toss and chose to bowl first. Before lunch, Australia had 73 runs and 2 wickets.

The first two days of the World Test Championship at the Oval have been all about Australia. Australia scored a strong 469 runs, thanks to centuries from Travis Head and Steve Smith. They then kept up the good work by pitching accurately from wicket to wicket. By the end of Day 2, India was 151/5 and 318 runs behind. Ricky Ponting thinks that India let things go in the first hour on Wednesday, after Rohit Sharma asked Australia to bat first and India seemed to start having trouble.

The 48-year-old thought that India needed to have Australia down four or five by lunch, and it could have gone very well for Rohit Sharma and his team. “I think what went wrong yesterday was that they bowled too short in the first hour. Because of the wicket, the weather, and the fact that they were using a brand-new Dukes ball, they had to bowl harder and get the ball to go back down the ground. “They needed to have Australia four or five down at lunch, but they only had them two down, which was a pretty good result for Australia,” Ponting was quoted as telling the ICC.

Ponting also said that he heard India’s captain, Rohit, and their head coach, Rahul Dravid, talking about what they would do if they won the toss. The former cricket player also said that it was brave to choose to field after winning the toss. He also said that once that choice was made, the only choice was to play four seamers and leave Ashwin out.

“I know that the captain gets most of the blame, but I also know that it wasn’t just his choice. Rahul Dravid and Rohit were out in the middle talking for a long time about what they wanted to do at the toss when I saw them yesterday morning. I think they had to play the four seamers if they wanted to bowl first. “So far, it doesn’t look like it’s paid off, but there’s still a long way to go, so we shouldn’t be too quick to judge,” he said.
