David Warner says, "You can do nothing about it," following his criticism of Perth Ton

In a surprising comeback to form, David Warner scored his first century since December 2022 on the first day of his final Test series against Pakistan at Perth Stadium. The seasoned Australian opener achieved his much-anticipated 26th century in Test cricket.

Recognizing his crucial role as Australia’s opener, Warner lauded his explosive partnership with Usman Khawaja, underscoring their indispensable significance in the team’s innings. In the last session, he expects to form a strong connection with Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh and will work to maximize their run-scoring potential.

It is my responsibility to get here and score runs for my side. I was on my way from the beginning, and it was fantastic to forge a partnership and exert pressure on Pakistan with Usman Khawaja. During the tea break, Warner stated, “I am now in a partnership with Smith.”

“For Australia, it was just another century in the Test.” Always has a wonderful feeling. Enough runs must be scored for the bowlers to have something to bowl at. Yes, the wicket appears beautiful if placed in the appropriate spots. You need to focus on your work and ignore the criticism because there is nothing you can do about it. There is nothing like scoring runs and quieting the naysayers,” he continued.

David Warner put a stylish cap on it.

Given that the southpaw declared earlier this year that he was quitting Test cricket, this innings had extra significance. His glorious Test career will come to an end with his farewell encounter at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) between January 3 and January 7 of next month. He finished with almost 8,600 runs in 200 innings, including 26 hundreds and 36 half-centuries.

With just 125 deliveries, the 37-year-old scored a century that featured 14 boundaries and a potent six, all in keeping with his signature aggressive yet calculated style. His famous jubilant leap signaled the start of the day’s jubilation as he hit his milestone boundary off debutant Aamer Jamal in the 43rd over. As he says goodbye to Test cricket, his outstanding accomplishments and significant contributions will be honored, leaving a lasting impression on the history of the game.
