David Warner believes he still Australia's best chance to win The Ashes.

David Warner, an Australian cricketer, believes he has a great deal of cricket left in him and has no plans to retire, as he has his sights set on the 2017 Ashes.

David Warner was a member of the Australian squad participating in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 in India until a damaged elbow forced him to return home. He sustained a concussion during the second Test at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi. Australia was defeated by six wickets in the second Test. Eventually, Warner was unable to resume his duties after the second day.

“I’ll play till 2024,” said David Warner.

“I’ve always said I’ll play till 2024,” the 36-year-old told reporters at Sydney Airport. “If the selectors believe that I’m not worthy of my slot, then so be it, and I can move on to the white-ball stuff.”

The flamboyant left-handed hitter expressed his eagerness to participate in the next Ashes visit to England. Warner stated in a bold declaration that he would not mind switching to white-ball format if the selectors wanted to look beyond him or sought to cut short his career in red-ball cricket.

“The following twelve months are packed with cricket for the team. And if I can continue scoring runs and putting my best foot forward for the club while maintaining my position, that would be fantastic for the team. It’s easy pickings (for critics) when you’re 36 years old and about to turn 37. I’ve also witnessed this with former players. So, if I can relieve the pressure from the rest of the team and ensure that no one is concerned about them, I’m glad to do so “The Australian cricketer under fire stated.

David Warner is among the numerous Australian cricketers who have returned for the Test series against India. Josh Hazlewood also returned to recover from an Achilles injury, while Ashton Agar will represent Western Australia in domestic cricket.
