The team won the title after defeating South Africa in the tournament’s final match, maintaining their undefeated record throughout. For South Africa, it turned out to be one of the worst evenings ever, despite being one of the best for team India.
After losing the T20 World Cup final in Barbados, star batter David Miller recently opened out about his feelings. He opened up about his feelings after Suryakumar Yadav dismissed him by taking the catch at the boundary rope.
In the game’s last over, South Africa needed to score 16 runs to win; Hardik Pandya entered the field to bowl the last over. Miller smashed a straight ball off his opening pitch that appeared to go for a six. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav made an incredible catch, juggling the ball on the boundary rope.
“It’s difficult to express, but I think that rage is certainly one of them. Negative thoughts of failure, disappointment, and frustration enter your mind. I watch a variety of sports, and they often preach about how important it is to win at the end. And I guess it was when the game could be won. And it was not meant to be. I took it rather seriously. I believed that in addition to disappointing myself and my comrades, I had let the nation down. Miller said to, “I almost just didn’t want to walk off the pitch.”
