Former cricket player Darren Lehmann of Australia has shared his forecast for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25. Lehmann predicted that Australia will win the opening game of the series in Perth and go on to defeat India 3-1 in the major series.
It is important to remember that India has been tipped to win both of its previous series in Australia by the identical score of 1-2, and they are the clear favourites to do so again. Daren Lehmann, though, seems to be looking at things rather differently. Lehmann also discussed how Australia must limit Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma since they pose the most threat to the Australian team as batsmen.
“Prediction: Australia vs. India, 3-1 Australia will triumph in Perth to kick off the summer on the lively track, and things will be fairly level from there on out as the home team plays in better conditions. Need to silence Kohli and Sharma for the whole of the summer,” Lehmann posted on his ‘X’ handle.

In related news, team India is presently leading Bangladesh in a multi-format series. The series began with a Test match between the two teams. Notably, on September 19, both clubs took on one another at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. The home team triumphed handily, living up to their reputation.
After winning the first Test, India is getting ready to take on Bangladesh in the second Test. Now, on September 27, both teams will square off in Kanpur for the second Test, where India will look to win the series while Bangladesh will aim to tie the series and hope to play well against India.
