Danish Kaneria accuses PCB of omitting his test results from Australia.

Danish Kaneria, a former cricket player for Pakistan, complained to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over his name being left off of the list of the nation’s top wicket-takers in Australia. Kaneria’s relationship with the PCB has been damaged as a result of his public complaints.

Former left-arm seamer Wasim Akram holds Pakistan’s lowest Australian average, according to the PCB’s rankings. Imran Khan, Iqbal Qasim, Sarfraz Nawaz, Mushtaq Ahmed, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Mohammad Asif are among the other well-known names on the list. Conversely, Kaneria amassed 24 wickets at an average of 40.58 in five Test matches in Australia. The top bowling averages are the basis for the rating, which is notable.

In Test cricket, Kaneria is Pakistan’s fourth-highest wicket-taker, even though his bowling average does not rank among the lowest. With an economy rate of 3.80 and an average of 40.58, the 43-year-old has claimed 24 wickets in five Test matches played in Australia.

“Observe the sheer audacity of the Pakistan Cricket Board.” They took my name off the list, even though I took 24 wickets in five matches in Australia. The ex-leg spinner commented on X, “The living example of sheer discrimination against me.”

Just look at the audacity of Pakistan Cricket Board. I took 24 wickets in 5 matches in Australia but they removed my name from the list. The living example of sheer discrimination against me. pic.twitter.com/HhkamhdFMc

Australia’s second Test is something Pakistan wants to win.

In the lead-up to the second Test against Pat Cummins and company at the storied Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 26, Pakistan will look to recover. Shan Masood was the team’s captain, and they suffered a setback in the opening series game at Optus Stadium in Perth, losing by a score of 360 runs. Against the Kangaroos in Australia, Pakistan has notably suffered a difficult 15-match losing skid, their last triumph being in 1995. In addition, the visitors are suffering from injuries as spinner Noman Ali and quick bowler Khurram Shahzad are both out of the series.

Pakistan Squad: Shan Masood (captain), Sarfaraz Ahmed, Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Salman Ali Agha, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Aamir Jamal, Sajid Khan, and Abrar Ahmed.
