At the National Cricket Stadium in Grenada, Australian captain Pat Cummins dismissed Keacy Carty with a spectacular one-handed diving catch early on Day 2. The West Indies were behind by 286 runs as they started their batting in the morning.
The eighth over of the morning was bowled by Cummins, who hit Carty with a good-length ball that nipped back. A thick inside edge sprang up to the right side of the wicket as the right-hander moved his bat forward and away from his pad.
Immediately changing course, the cricketer from New South Wales ran towards the short square mid-wicket area and dived full length to his right. He made a remarkable catch in the game by completing the ball inches above the ground with one hand, taking Carty out for six.

Earlier, West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph made an impression with a four-wicket haul, as Alex Carey (63) and Beau Webster (60) held the pace in the Australians’ opening innings. The hosts lost early wickets when they started their innings, with Josh Hazlewood dismissing Kraigg Brathwaite for a duck in the second over.
Brandon King scored 75, his first Test fifty, while John Campbell anchored the innings with a calm 40 after early failures. Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph made a vital 51-run partnership for the eighth wicket in the lower order, which greatly reduced the deficit. Ultimately, West Indies was dismissed for 253, giving the opponents a slim 33-run lead. Cummins and Hazlewood each grabbed two wickets, while Nathan Lyon took three.
In the last session, though, the hosts put up a fierce fight. Both Australian openers, Usman Khawaja (2) and the youthful Sam Konstas (0), were removed by Jayden Seales with the new ball. While Khawaja was trapped LBW, Konstas unsuccessfully reviewed the ruling and pulled one onto his stumps.
Australia led by 45 runs at the close of Day 2’s play, 12 for 2 in their second innings, with Nightwatchman Lyon at 2 and Cameron Green undefeated at 6.
