A thrilling five-match Twenty20 International series between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled to begin. The opening Twenty20 International is set to take place on Friday, January 12, at Auckland’s Eden Park. Devon Conway, the wicketkeeper-batter, stated his delight about playing against Pakistan after being rested for the Twenty20 International Series against Bangladesh. The Southpaw is excited to play during the campaign in front of home fans in a variety of cities.
“The first game at Eden Park is usually quite thrilling, as you would imagine. Eden Park has an amazing atmosphere, and we usually draw a sizable crowd there as well. Prior to the Twenty20 International’s start, India Today quoted Devon Conway as saying: “It is a great opportunity for us to travel up and down the country, play at different venues, and play in front of our home fans.”
Devon Conway remarked on his extensive cricketing experience against Pakistan and his admiration for the Asian team’s caliber. He added that facing Pakistan is always a good test, particularly when it comes to the white-ball circuit.
“So, we’re excited about it. I’ve had a lot of experience playing cricket, particularly white-ball cricket, against Pakistan. They are an extremely proficient team with both bat and ball, and they have some excellent fast bowlers and hitters up front, which is good for us. We have a decent understanding of their methodology. Playing against Pakistan, especially in white-ball cricket, is always a good challenge, Conway remarked.

Following Babar Azam’s resignation as captain of all formats last year, Pakistan named Shaheen Afridi as their T20 captain. The star bowler will soon start his first task as Pakistan’s captain. His deputy is none other than Muhammad Rizwan.
Pakistan was recently humiliated 0-3 in a three-match Test series held in Australia. Conversely, the Kiwis and Bangladesh tied 1-1 in their T20I series at home.
