The South African pacer Corbin Bosch was banned from the Pakistan Super League for a year after withdrawing from the competition before the 2025 season to play in the Indian Premier League. The Pakistan Cricket Board made the announcement Thursday, April 10.
In January of this year, Peshawar Zalmi selected the 30-year-old Corbin Bosch in the Diamond category of the PSL draft.
But just a few weeks before the IPL 2025 competition began, he was called up by the Mumbai Indians to replace Lizaad Williams, who was injured.
Corbin Bosch responded to the PSL’s decision by saying, “I sincerely apologise to the people of Pakistan, Peshawar Zalmi supporters, and the cricket community at large for my decision to withdraw from the Pakistan Super League (PSL).”
“I completely realise the disappointment my actions have caused, as the PSL is a prominent tournament. I sincerely apologise to Peshawar Zalmi’s devoted supporters for disappointing them.
“I accept full responsibility for my acts and all associated repercussions, including a penalty fine and a one-year PSL suspension. Although this has been a difficult lesson, I’m determined to grow from it and intend to rejoin the PSL in the future with fresh zeal and the support of the supporters.”
