Devon Conway and Ravindra’s 59-run second-wicket stand saved New Zealand when Tim Seifert fell early. Ravindra hit 30 off 19 balls before succumbing to Maposa.
Conway hit four boundaries and two sixes in an undefeated 59 off 40 deliveries.
In the third T20I of the Zimbabwe Twenty20 Tri-Series, New Zealand defeated hosts Zimbabwe by eight wickets at the Harare Sports Club on Friday, July 18. In excellent form after their 21-run win over South Africa, the Kiwis easily chased a 121-run goal with 37 balls to spare.
New Zealand made four changes to their team after beating the Proteas, bringing in Rachin Ravindra, Mark Chapman, Michael Bracewell, and Adam Milne, who returned from the MLC final. Zimbabwe only changed Wellington Masakadza with Tinotenda Maposa after losing the tournament opener. After winning all six T20Is against Zimbabwe, the BlackCaps won another.
Mitchell Santner asked the hosts to bat first, but they failed to score well. Wessly Madhevere led with 36 off 32, while Brian Bennett added 21. But the remainder of the batting order faltered. With 3/26, Matt Henry was the wrecker, while Santner, Ravindra, Bracewell, and Milne each took one wicket. Zimbabwe scored 120/7 in 20 overs.
A fast 26* off 19 balls by Daryl Mitchell helped New Zealand reach 122/2 in 13.5 overs, their second win of the series and pole position in the count.
