The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will correct the error involving Chetan Sakariya inclusion in the suspect bowling action list. The left-arm bowler from India was first listed among the seven players on the BCCI’s roster. The board did clarify that although the 25-year-old pacer has been reported, he is not now prohibited.
Other domestic cricket players like Arpit Guleria of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association, Chirag Gandhi of the Gujarat Cricket Association, Salman Nizar of the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), Saurabh Dubey of the Vidarbha Cricket Association, and Tanush Kotian of the Mumbai Cricket Association are also on the list. Additionally included on the list and prohibited from bowling are Manish Pandey and KL Shrijith, both players for the Karnataka State Cricket Association.
It seems that the Indian cricket board made an inadvertent error when Chetan Sakariya was added to the roster. Officials of the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) informed the BCCI after the discovery that Chetan, a player from the south zone, should have been on that list.
“There was a bit of a misunderstanding and error, and Chetan isn’t on that list and has never been called. I realize that a Karnataka bowler’s name ought to have been there, and the IPL is taking care of the matter. SCA President Jaydev Shah told Cricbuzz, “The franchises are also being duly informed.”

Following his recent release by the Delhi Capitals of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the 25-year-old cricketer is likely to return in the near future, possibly even competing in the Ranji Trophy this season.
Since the last IPL, Chetan Sakariya has not participated in any domestic events, such as the Vijay Hazare Trophy or the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In spite of his absence, he has established a starting price of INR 50 lakh for himself and is currently ranked 27th in the register for the December 19 IPL 2024 mini-auction.
