For the Test match against Bangladesh, Chennai expects to prepare a red-soil pitch

A two-game Test series between Team India and Bangladesh is scheduled to begin. On September 19, the first Test between the two teams will take place at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. During a pre-season training in Chennai prior to the first Test match, the Indian team was presented with a pitch made of black soil that had some grass on it and was slightly damp.

The side’s training session in the camp started at nine thirty and went until three thirty. The pre-season camp revealed that, despite having as many as ten Test matches scheduled, the Rohit Sharma-led team is focusing on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and three Test matches against New Zealand.

It’s important to remember that Bangladesh is accustomed to playing on slow black soil fields; nevertheless, The surface was well-covered with grass by the grounds crew.

Moreover, India has selected their net bowlers with Bangladesh’s bowlers in mind, preparing for their bowling attack. The hosts were S Ajith Ram, M Siddharth, and P Vignesh from Tamil Nadu in addition to Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel.

Regarding the World Test Championship (WTC) standings between the two teams, team India is presently in first position. India has won six, lost two, and drawn one of the nine Test matches that have been played. India has 74 points and will definitely make it to the WTC final the following year.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, will be bursting at the seams; they just won a two-game Test series in their own backyard against Pakistan. Bangladesh has won three and lost three of the six Test matches that have been played. Currently ranked fourth, the team hopes to rise up in the standings by pulling off another upset against India.
