Dhanashree Verma, a digital designer and choreographer, recently talked candidly about her marriage to Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, stating that there had been problems from the start. Within two months of their December 2020 wedding, she said, the leg-spinner had cheated.
Dhanashree said in a hushed voice, “First year,” in response to actor Kubbra Sait, a fellow contestant on the reality TV drama “Rise and Fall,” asking when she realised her marriage to Yuzvendra Chahal was a mistake. He was caught in the second month. The words “Crazy bro” were echoed as the two laughed together.
According to the cricketer’s previous interview, the duo originally bonded over online dancing sessions during the Covid-19 blackout. But in February of this year, they formally ended their marriage in March after filing for divorce by mutual consent. Dhanashree denied alimony rumours and stated that the procedure was swift.
Because it was reciprocal, it happened swiftly. For this reason, it is incorrect when someone says “alimony.” Will you continue to say anything just because I’m not saying anything? She stated on the show, “My parents have taught me to only justify to those who I care about.”
Chahal left first, according to his ex-wife.
In an interview with the podcast “Humans of Bombay,” Dhanashree reflected on the emotional toll of the separation and described the moment the verdict was given. Even though the marriage ended in three years, she has since prioritised her own health and ignored criticism from the public.
Despite the fact that we were mentally prepared, I became very emotional. I began to scream in front of everyone. At that moment, I was unable to even articulate my feelings. Chahal was the first to leave. She said, “Why waste time explaining to people who don’t even know you?
A new chapter in Dhanashree’s personal and professional life will also be marked by her upcoming Telugu debut in the dance-based movie “Akasam Daati Vastaava.” She previously debuted in Bollywood with a dance routine in Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring well-known actor Rajkumar Rao.
