Bringing together some of the biggest names and most talented players in cricket, the 27th edition of the CEAT Cricket Rating (CCR) Awards commemorated yet another incredible year in the game. One of India’s top tyre manufacturers, CEAT, hosted the event, which once again distinguished itself as a distinguished occasion celebrating quality and consistency across all game types.
Dignitaries from the corporate and cricketing sectors, as well as rising stars and icons, graced the Mumbai evening. The occasion celebrated cricket’s ardour, tenacity, and sportsmanship, capturing the essence of the game.
Every year, the CCR Awards serve as a reminder of cricket’s timeless appeal. Numbers are important, but so are tales of perseverance and achievement. RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka expressed his pride in honouring those who continue to inspire millions of people.
“CEAT Awards’ integrity is what sets them apart. With their equal displays of skill, bravery, and poise, the winners genuinely embody the finest of international cricket, according to Chief Adjudicator Sunil Gavaskar.
The two cricketing greats that got the CEAT Lifetime Achievement Awards that evening were Brian Lara and B. S. Chandrasekhar. Shreyas Iyer received recognition for being the highest-scoring Indian in the competition, and Rohit Sharma received a special souvenir for helping India to the Champions Trophy 2025 title.
It is a privilege to be remembered in this manner. “This recognition brings it all back to me. Every innings I played was a reflection of my passion for cricket,” Lara added.
Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma won the top awards in the women’s divisions for their outstanding performances on the world stage. Following the India vs. West Indies Test on October 10, the ceremony will be broadcast on JioHotstar and Star Sports.
