Jasprit Bumrah has been the Indian team’s standout player in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy thus far. The other Indian bowlers, save him, have been poor. It is safe to assume that the right-armer is spearheading the bowling assault, and India would have been in a worse position if he hadn’t led and performed well in the first Test.
Following the Gabba Test, former Australian pacer Brett Lee gave the Indian strike bowler great marks for his series heroics. Lee referred to Bumrah as a “world-class” bowler and came to the conclusion that he was far superior to all other Indian bowlers.
“He is Jasprit Bumrah, a world-class player. Though there has been some speculation about Mohammed Siraj, Lee said Fox Sports, “I think he has bowled really well.” Regretfully, they did not have Mohammed Shami.
“I think they have a good pace bowling assault, but since he is so good, people say or believe he is carrying the entire attack. When it comes to bowling, he (Bumrah) is far superior to everyone else. This is not meant to be disparaging to the other bowlers, but Lee continued.
The chief wicket-taker is Jasprit Bumrah.
Bumrah is presently the top wicket-taker with 21 wickets at an average of 10.90 and an economy of 2.60, having put on outstanding performances in the three Test matches thus far. Despite taking his 12th five-wicket haul in the third Test, he has undoubtedly been the finest bowler in the series thus far.
Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, who have each taken 14 wickets, are tied for second place as the series’ best bowlers. By carefully carrying out their plans for each batter, the Australian pace combo has effectively collaborated to cause problems for the Indian hitters.
