Leading Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Kajol have stepped forward to support India’s Women in Blue as the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 approaches. The stars asked fans to show the same fervour for Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and women teammates as they do for the men’s side in a stirring statement posted on JioStar platforms.
While holding captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s jersey, Kajol gave an emotional speech.
“I would want to make a unique point to you. Our Women in Blue cricket team will make history by winning the World Cup. Are you going to testify? Jazbaa bhi same, jersey same toh.
Akshay Kumar remembers his time spent watching the World Cup final in 2017.
